Wow! Super Fast and very much less RAM usage!
    Roughly I can multi-task around 14-16 apps!

No problems in setup – I can connect to wifi, make/receive calls and sms, email, take photos with camera using burst shots and save to external card etc…

This is what xiaomi redmi 1s should have been!!

Only things is – how to disable pulling down the status bar on lockscreen? Can’t find the option for that.

      September 23, 2014 at 5:43 pm

      thanks for the review.
and for that status bar problem try using Gravity Box Module in Xposed Framework.

      September 23, 2014 at 5:44 pm

no, its a software problem, it will not cause any damage to your phone, and the problem will be fixed in the next update.

I have Gapps (mini modular package) installed and wiped dalvik cache after that. But I can’t get any YouTube videos to play either in YouTube app or on browser (CM browser)

    Error message is:
there was a problem while playing. Touch to retry.

Is there something I need to enable to get YouTube to work?

    • Albert
      September 29, 2014 at 8:37 am

The YouTube problem seems to be solved after I upgraded the ROM to I had to download it manually
from the Mokee website because the OTA update couldn’t download
      complete file.

Also Xposed Installer works fine – can now disable the status bar from pulling down on lockscreen.

It is a good ROM, gets lot of free memory and good performance.

    Some considerations,
    # No ringing sound sometimes for incoming calls.
    # Dual SIM mode, incoming call, not showing which SIM receives the call.
    # It will be good if phone-dialer (and SMS) have direct option to choose the SIM
    # It will be good if SMS-app have some easy option (swipe right) to delete a SMS-message

    Hey Maitreya,

    Otherwise the ROM is awesome.

      September 28, 2014 at 4:10 pm

Got the data working after trying the 2g sim data (it worked) and then switching back to 3g sim data.. Working fine now.

Just need to take care of the ringtone issue.

      • Sourav Bagchi
        October 8, 2014 at 8:26 pm

How??? Do you insert the sim in first slot or second!!!!

        • Devesh
          October 8, 2014 at 8:47 pm

I use both sim slots. Earlier I was trying only with 1 sim in 3g slot. It did not work.
Then I inserted another sim in 2g slot and turned on data on 2g slot. Selected appropriate profile and 2g data worked.

Then I turned off mobile data on second sim (2g) and activated on Primary sim (3g)

          It worked again.

          1. Thing to keep in mid is I multi Sim settings: See if you have selected the correct sim.
          2. In Data Usage, Enable mobile data on the corect sim which is set as priority for data in multi-sim settings.
This can be done through Mobile Networks as well.
In Mobile networks also check if correct access point is selected. (By default none is selected, and I suspect that is the cause of data not working).
3.Try restarting the phone as well if it doesn’t works the first time.

By default no ringtone is selected for incoming calls as well, that might be causing the phone not to ring on incoming calls.

So most of the issues are due to “blank/none” by default selections.

      October 16, 2014 at 5:06 pm

I had the same problem and resolve it by changing the sim from “preferred GSM/WCDMA” to “GSM/WCDMA”.

just give some time to the rom to settle down.. maybe 15 minutes onwards.. the rom is making cache for its app i think.. i once rebooted but takes 30 minutes to pass.. once the rom has settled down, reboot is not a problem anymore

    Quick feature requests:
    – I’m not really a big fan of the shortcut bar in the recent apps page. Would appreciate it if there is an option to turn it off, or at the very least not add new apps to the shortcut bar by default.

    – I’m also not a big fan of the Power button shortcut at the top right corner of the status bar. Every time I try to pull down the status bar I accidentally pressed that shortcut, which is rather annoying, at least for me. An option to turn this off would also be nice

    Hi Maitreya,

I was able to install successfully, then rebooted into recovery to install the google package. Then i rebooted to system but now it’s stuck in the Mokee logo for some time now (10mins and counting). Is this normal? How do I launch recovery mode again? (thru some key combinations..?)

there are weird stuff on this rom, the recovery (CWM touch) does not detect the internal memory of the phone, it only detects the SD card, so it is impossible to install the rom. Even removing the sd card the internal memory is still not detected.
Forced to put the installation file on the SD card to be detected.

And apparently it is impossible to move applications to the SD card.

    Sorry for my bad English.

Sound quality is very bad of out speaker, very low quality sound in out speakers, when volume is full, sound fully crashed to listening. Pls fixed this your next update & pls add this feature (move app to sd card).

    • ¤*7 Geeko*¤
      October 24, 2014 at 3:20 pm

For move app to sd you must use this version “MK44.4-armani-201410130952-UNOFFICIAL”.

      • Arif Hossain Akash
        October 24, 2014 at 6:43 pm

thanks, but one major prob in this rom sound quality is not good of out speaker, fully crashed sound when volume is full, unclear sound, but when i listening song with a headphone, sound is clear & good, I don’t understand what type of problem.

Hello friend.(the editor),whosoever you are,can you tell me why are you using adfly with the links?these are not your works and hence you cant use them!!if you are then you must share the earnings with the devs who work hard to make these roms…hope you understand…

  • ¤*7 Geeko*¤
    October 24, 2014 at 3:18 pm

I did not install the correct version, I install a nightly build, it’s probably why I had all these problems.
I installed 201410130952-UNOFFICIAL release. Now the rom works well, moving the app to the sd card works perfectly.

There’s just one problem quite a hassle, when turning off the phone can no longer to reboot, it gets stuck on the MI logo. Forced to reformat everything and reinstalled, it’s really very hassle.

Is there a solution or a fix for this problem ??

Oh my god, this rom drive me crazy . There is a fuckin bug with the unofficial version, when we close the phone it’s impossible to restart, we are block on MI logo and we must fuckin format all and reinstall all.
Arggggggghhhh, and no fucking update for the unofficial version.

Someone have a fix for this ??? I’m fuckin tired of this, it is the 3rd time in 1 week i must format and re-flash.

Maybe some one have a valid link for for the latest version before this one ? On Mokeedev website there is only the last unofical version ( 2014-10-13 ).

    Arfff 🙁
