It may not be a huge jump in size from the Note 8 but the 6.4 Inch display does appear larger due to the thin bezels. It comes with the expected fantastic colorful display with super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. Using 16 million colors the display in easily comparable to the iPhone X and Huawei P20. The battery has been improved using a 4000 mAH battery but this has increased the weight to 201 grams. So, its easily one of the heaviest mobiles phones in 2018. It comes with an aluminum frame with the expected protection of Gorilla Glass 5. It comes with the usual IP68 dust proofing and can handle a dive underwater to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. For consumers wanting a one-handed phone, the size may be off-putting, but it didn’t take long to get used to the size.
Note 9 Camera
There is not a lot of movement on the camera from the S9 and S9 plus. The software has been improved allowing for better shots. The core improvement from the Note 8 is the 4k HDR recording capability. Smartphones are heavily used for filming now and this brings the movie quality in line with Huawei P20 Pro and Sony XZ2.
Note 9 Features
The Note 8 comes with the Iris scanner, not always perfect but it’s a great security function when it works. The fingerprint scanner is rear mounted like the S9 but far enough away from the lens to not leave grubby fingerprints on photos. It comes with DeX which allows you to share your screen without a docking station.
It comes in three main colors including Purple, Black, and Blue with some countries receiving the metallic copper range. It comes with Android 8.1 Oreo and is ready to upgrade to Pie.

The pricing of the note 9 reflects the device. You can pick up the 128GB model for £899 sim free or get the larger 512GB model for £1,099. Contract plans with no upfront cost are expected to start from £50 per month on a 24 months contract.
