How to Root Micromax Canvas A1 Without PC (Android One Rooting)

Before proceeding further lets have a quick look on the specs of Canvas A1.

Micromax Canvas A1 comes with a Quad Code MediaTek Processor clocked at 1.3 Ghz with Android 4.4 Kitkat and 5 MP Autofocus Camera.

This budget smartphone is priced at Rs. 6499.

As there are three smartphones that comes under Android One category launched on the same day with exact same specs, this rooting method also works on them.

These are Micromax A1, Spice Dream Uno and Karbonn Sparkle V.

How to Root Micromax Canvas A1 (or Spice Dream Uno or Karbonn Sparkle V) :-

 Note : These Methods are only applicable if you are still on Kitkat, For lollipop follow this Guide.

Method 1 :-

With Framaroot –

Step 1 :- Firstly download and Install Framaroot.apk on Your Smartphone from the below link.

Download Framaroot 1.9.3.apk

Step 2 :- Now Open the application.

Step 3 :- After that Select SuperSu from the dropdown list and then click on Boromir button.

Step 4 :- You will get a message Successfully rooted.

Step 5 :- Reboot your phone after that you will see a SuperSu app in your app drawer, that’s it you have rooted your device.


Method 2 :-

With KingRoot –

Step 1 :- Firstly Download and Install KingoRoot as Normal apk on your smartphone from the below link.

Download KingRoot 3.3.1.apk

Step 2 :- Now Open the app.

Step 3 :- Press Green Button and then Press Blue Button to start the root process.

Step 4 :- That’s it, Now Reboot Your Device and Enjoy Root Rights.


Method 3 :

    Bro that isn’t working i tried kingo root apk it just saying rooting and keep spinning , framaroot says error #6, towel root says your device is’t supported

      reset your phone and try again with any method, it will work.

        This guy does not know what he is talking about, he just copied from some other site and pasted it here… do not waste your time with these apps, i have spent 6hs to root and still trying…..

    Its not working, the framaroot shows #6 problem and the other one just keep spining. Not working at all.

      reset your phone and then try with any method.

        Does resetting needs to remove the external SD and sim card too? Also canvas A1 doesn’t comes with default file manager app so resetting once will require to download n installing both these again… I tried resetting it but it doesn’t worked for me till yet…

    Neither of these methods works. Guaranteed. Tried all of them on MMX A1. Still unrooted. 🙁

    Hiii…I installed the framaroot but after selecting Super User and then when I clicked Boromir its showing me error: Failed Try Another Exploit if available Error #6….I tired the other options but nothing happened and then I install king root and this app is full Chinese so I can’t take risk …so plz help me from FramaRoot
