Best 4K Drone for Newcomers
For the newcomers to the drone world, there is the DJI Mavic Air. The drone has the best value for the money. At $769.99 the video quality is not nearly as good as the DGI Phantom, and it does not have as good of video feedback as the Phantom ranked #4,876 according to Amazon as the best in camera and photo playback.
The Mavic Air is an amazingly aerodynamic unit with quality video shooting at speeds up to 100 Mb/s with a high-quality body type to withstand even the hardest landings. The unit is lightweight as well at 430g, and a lot of that weight is the battery. The battery gives only 21 minutes of flight and has only 8 GB of storage for any videos produced.
A step up in quality
The increase in drone quality does not stop at the video playback. The Typhoon lives up to its name in power and flying capabilities, but its camera does not. It is still 4k, but the 12-megapixel camera cannot shoot 60 fps, and the quality of video playback does not equal the phantom.
It also does not have as long battery life as other drones on the market.
The drone is easy to fly and gives a smooth ride to any driver and it
comes with its controller to aid in the quality of the flights taken.
Top of the Range
For excellence in video play, the DJI Phantom 3 Professional ranks up there with the quality of videos it produces. At 72p, the craft will give the user a high-quality video at a price that doesn’t hurt. It retails for $589.00 on Amazon and is one of the heavier crafts on the market at 1280g. It also has a limited battery life at 23 minutes.
The camera has been improved to shoot 12-megapixels and taking RAW pictures. The lens is f/2.8 with a 94-degree field of view. The drone has 3-axel video stabilization and extra features such as home lock mode and mapping capabilities so that the drone can locate a point and circle.
Along with poor battery life, the app that runs this drone is also noticeably poor and slow to operate. Over the years, the quality of UAVs has increased dramatically. The video quality is getting better through the battery life still needs to be improved.
