Rooting Guide for Micromax Canvas 2.2 A114 (With PC and Without PC)

Last Month Micromax has launched it Another Canvas Smartphone.

Its Micromax Canvas A114 or the Micromax Canvas 2.2 and is powered by a new breed of quad core chipset the MediaTek MT6582 clocked at 1.3GHz. This handset sports a 5 inch screen with qHD resolution and comes for a price tag of under Rs. 12,000. There is 8MP rear AF camera and 2MP front camera.

Last Week i purchased this Smartphone from Snapdeal for Rs. 10,500, and i am quite impressed by its performance. Its Benchmark score is also pretty impressive, it scored at 17,000.

How to Root Micromax Canvas 2.2 A114?

Method 1 : Using PC –

After trying Various Methods, i came across a Working Method for Permanent Root.

Requirements :-

1. A Computer Running Windows XP or Up
2. Micromax Canvas 2.2 A114 Handset
3. USB Cable
4. Internet Connection (For Downloading Tools and Softwares)

Steps to Root :-

Step 1 :- Firstly Download Universal ADB Driver Installer from this link.

Step 2 :-

Now after Downloading Install it.

Step 3 :- Now go to your Smartphone and Turn On USB Debugging

(To Turn on USB Debugging go to Settings >> About Phone and Tap 7 times on Build Number to Turn on Developer Options.)

After that go back to settings again and go to Developer Options above About Phone and Mark on USB Debugging.)

Step 4 :- Now Connect Your Phone to PC With USB Cable.

Step 5 :- Now Download RootGenius from this Link.

Step 6 :- After That Run Root Genius on your PC, it will automatically identify your phone. Then just follow the on screen instructions. Click on Restore Data on the phone if prompted during the rooting process.

After 100% rooting procedure is complete, you’ll find KingUser (Super User) app in your app drawer. Then reboot your phone (not necessary but recommended). Your phone is now rooted, Enjoy.

This Process usually takes 5 to 10 minutes and is Completely tested by Me.

Method 2 : Without PC –

Step 1 :- First of all download Framaroot 1.9.0 from this Link.

Step 2 :- After Download Place it in your SD Card and Install It.

Step 3 :- Now Run the Framaroot Application.

Step 4 :- Select SuperSU from the List and Click on Third Option.

That’s all, it Will Display a Success Message, Now Reboot your Phone.
